Abstract

The self diffusion coefficients D in a binary alkane mixture were measured from 300 K-450 K at pressures up to 150 MPa. The NMR spin-echo technique with pulsed magnetic field gradients was applied. Significant differences in the slope of the Arrhenius plot and in the pressure dependence are observed for the neat alkanes. However, in a mixture of tetradecane and methane both components reveal an almost identical p,T dependence.
