Abstract

The complex (IPr)Cu(I)C1 with IPr = 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazole-2-ylidene shows a luminescence in the UV (lambda(max) = 375 nm) in solution and in the solid state (lambda(max) = 347 nm). This emission is suggested to originate from a MLCT triplet. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
