Abstract

The silver salt of 7,8,9,10,11,12-hexabromo-closo-1-carbododecaborane shows a rather intense low-temperature photoluminescence at 462 nm. It is suggested that it is a phopshorescence which originates from the lowest-energy triplet of the carborane anion. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
