Abstract

The photolysis of XeF2 in CH3CN takes place with lambda(irr) < 280 nm. In the presence of colloidal gold a photooxidation of the elemental metal occurs as indicated by the disappearance of the plasmon absorption of colloidal gold. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
