Abstract

The measurement of the Xe-129 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) chemical shift as a function of density is reported. The apparatus used in this study enabled us to measure the Xe-129 NMR chemical shift in the supercritical state up to a pressure of about 70 MPa, i.e., a density of 440 amagat(1) at 298 K.
