Abstract

We report the synthesis and characterization of optically active hydrotris-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-7,8,8-trimethyl- 4,7-methanoindezolyl)borate [NaHB(camphpz)(3)] (2) ligand. bl situ catalysts - copper(I) or copper(II)/[NaHB(camphpz)(3)] catalysed the cyclopropanation of styrene and ethyl diazoacetate with ee's of up to 40 % and chemical yield of up to 67 %.
