Abstract

The complexes {[Re-1(CO)(4)Cl](4)(mu-TCNX)} with TCNX = tetracyanoethylene and tetracyanoquinodimethane were prepared and characterized spectroscopically. Both compounds show Re(I) to TCNX metal-to-ligand charge transfer absorptions in the near-infrared region. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
