Abstract

The lowest energy electronic transition of [(cyclopentadienyl)-Zr-2(IV)(2,2'-biquinoline)](2+), which appears in absorption at lambda(max) = 360 nm and in emission at lambda(max) = 518 nm, is of the Cp---> big ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer-type.
