Abstract

Gestosis and HELLP-syndrome are rare diseases in emergency medicine. Endothelial dysfunction and mismatch of endothelial mediators cause a pregnancy induced systemic maternal disease with damage of an maternal organs. Especially heart and circulation, central nervous system, kidneys, liver blood, hemostasis and placenta are vulnerable. The HELLP-syndrome is a very serious kind of gestosis, Symptoms, diagnosis and therapy are discussed. Finally, recommendations are given for emergency physicians.
