Abstract

Atomic hydrogen has been doped into solid krypton by photolysis of hydrogen-containing molecules. This resulted in strong optical absorption bands near 8 eV. A new analysis of their spacings and isotope shifts leads to their interpretation as transitions from a common ground state to two separate excited states of the KrxH complex.
