Abstract

We present an analysis of intrinsic localized modes in a linear chain with long-range Coulomb interactions. The modes are obtained within the rotating wave approximation. Linear stability of the localized modes, optical adsorption and interaction of two localized modes is discussed. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
