Abstract

Self diffusion coefficients for both components of the binary fluid mixture Octamethyl-cyclotetrasiloxane (OMCTS)/Methane were collected in a wide range of composition, temperature, and pressure. These data were combined with density measurements for the mixtures and hard sphere molecular dynamics simulations. The analysis of the data with the concept of the rough hard sphere fluid mixture show the increase of rotation/translation coupling with OMCTS concentration. For a given composition of the mixture this coupling appears to be identical for both components.
