As the drive to cut costs in the automotive industry continues to accelerate, manufacturers ore turning to one-stop suppliers of integrated systems. Air fuel mixture modules are a case in point. With major production facilities in Canada, the U.K. and Germany, Siemens Automotive Systems is already supplying versions of these modules that are lighter, cheaper and foster to build than conventional ones, Analysts predict demand to reach 14 million units per year by 1998 in Europe alone.
