Abstract

A single-crystal structure analysis for Ga2TeO6 is reported. The compound crystallizes in an inverse trirutile-type structure (tragonal, space group P4(2)/mnm; a = 4.5594(3), c = 8.970(1) angstrom = c/a = 1.9674, V = 186.47(3) angstrom3, Z = 2). The structure was refined to R = 0.059, R(w) = 0.043 for 249 absorption-corrected reflections.
