Abstract

An experimental model of acute subarachnoidal inflammation in rabbits is introduced. Complement-C5a-fragment induces perivascular cellular infiltration in arteriols within one hour after intracisternal application. The electron microscopic findings are explained as the early stages of cerebral vasculitis.
