Abstract

Variations in the vascular system are much more numerous than in other anatomical structures. The knowledge of these variations is essential for radiologists and surgeons in the interpretation of angiograms. A complex variation of the thyreocervical trunk is presented in this paper: The Aa. thoracica interna and cervicalis profunda arises from the truncus which perforates the anterior scalenic muscle.
