Abstract

Starting from a high-temperature cumulant expansion, the k-space distribution function is calculated for the two-dimensional Hubbard model. In the case of vanishing Coulomb repulsion the exact result is reproduced for all temperatures; for infinite Coulomb repulsion reliable results have so far been obtained only for high temperatures.
