Abstract

An apparatus for measuring thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, heat penetration coefficient and volumetric heat capacity of solids with poor conductivity is introduced. In addition to the description of the basic unsteady short-time method and the measuring set-up, the error factors are explained and the measurement results presented taking selected plastics as examples. The results are compared with reference measurement and literature data.
