2-Thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives 1 were reacted with phenacyl bromide in glacial acetic acid to obtain thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine derivatives. UV-, IR-, and H-1-NMR spectra and elementary analysis data confirm structures 3. H-1-{H-1}-NOE techniques showed that the isolated products are H-5 isomers.
