Abstract

2-Chloro-3-phenyl-3-trimethylsilyl-thiaphosphirane (5) opens the ring via the thiaphosphirene to give a thiocarbonylphosphinidene - and not a phosphaethynesulfide - as an intermediate 1,3-dipole.
