Abstract

The brominated methanes CHBr3, CH2Br2, CHBr2Cl and CHBrCl2 were determined in air and seawater samples near the Antarctic Peninsula. CHBr3 was the dominant compound with average concentrations of 6.3 pptv in the marine atmosphere and 6.2 ng/l in surface seawater.
