We consider the contributions of the condensates <psi-psiBAR>, <psi-i-psiBAR> and <psi-g-psiBAR> to the vector two-point sum rule and to the quark propagator. We demonstrate that whilst in the sum rule only the contributions <m-psi-psiBAR> and <psi(i + g - m)psiBAR> occur, in the quark propagator gauge-dependent combinations enter. This latter property also holds at the pole of the propagator.
