Blow moulding machines today usually form part of production systems. During the blow moulding operation, for example, the moulding is labelled and handles or other parts are placed in the mould and integrally moulded. Then a punch trims off the flash and this material is immediately recycled. Further stations, e.g. for leak or weight testing, decoration or direct filling can be coupled in. This high degree of integration makes special demands on mechanical engineering and plant control technology.
