Abstract

We report on a study of far-infrared and microwave intragap absorption of a YBa2Cu3O7-delta thin film at low temperature. Our results suggest a superconducting energy gap with 2-DELTA(0)/k(B)T(c) almost-equal-to 7 and residual, intragap absorption for temperatures T << T(c) that consists of three portions, a microwave and a far-infrared band of possibly nonintrinsic nature and sharp phonon resonances of intrinsic nature.
