The theory of the duopoly and of the provision of a public good can be presented by the same graphical method. Furthermore, it is shown that duopoly can be interpreted as a special case of public good allocations. By the graphic method exact proofs of some basic results can be provided. Whereas some of these demonstrations are already to be found in the literature, some others are new. Especially this seems to be true for the description of Pareto-optimal allocation for public goods as well as for consistent expectations equilibria.
